According to reports, the controversial king, who was convicted in 2009 and sentenced to 15 years behind bars, had his appeal revoked for the incidents which reportedly took place in Mthatha between June 1995 and January 1996.

These include ordering his subjects to burn down their houses, administering corporal punishment and having the family of a man, who failed to turn-up at his court, kidnapped.

The king is expected to hand himself over during the next 48 hours.
