Algoa Bus drivers set to strike on Wednesday

SEPTEMBER 22, 2015

The Algoa Bus Company has confirmed that none of its buses would run after 10h00 tomorrow due to a strike action.

In a statement issued to radio station Algoa FM, company CEO Sicelo Duze said the provision of certain demands by workers, had deadlocked, and that a meeting with the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) failed to resolve the impending strike.

He also added that the striking drivers would be locked-out of the company’s premises tomorrow.
