Annual Jam Jar Rally kicks off from Something Good

SEPTEMBER 12, 2016

The annual Jam Jar Rally which raises money for local Port Elizabeth charities, begins its journey to Empekweni Beach Hotel via Somerset East from the Something Good Roadhouse on September 16th at 7am, with spectators and participants expected from 6.30am.

“The Jam Jar Rally began as a bit of fun, helping communities we visit during the event,” remarks organiser Paul Engler.

“And it’s just exploded in popularity thanks to the support of companies like Something Good and from the participation of corporate teams. To be able to give back to communities, whilst bringing people together is fantastic and to be in our forth year is a testament to the event.”

With entry to the event at R3,000 per car, the event raised over R30 000 in 2015 for various charities, and this year it’s set to raise even more funds for Khaya Cheshire and Ithemba Lam with over 25 cars participating.
