Appeal to St Francis Bay residents to use water sparingly after pipe burst

AUGUST 5, 2016

The Kouga Local Municipality on Friday appealed to St Francis Bay residents to use water sparingly.

"There is a leak in the main water line to the area.

"The municipality is busy with repairs, but it might take a few days as the leak is in a relatively inaccessible area and specialised equipment needs to be brought in," the municipality.

"The reservoir is full at present and the water supply is stable. Residents might, however, experience a drop in water pressure as the reservoir empties, hence the appeal that residents use as little water as possible until the reservoir can be refilled.

"Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this might cause."
