Arch to be cared for at home

The family of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu has expressed satisfaction at the fact he could now be cared for at home.

In a statement, Tutu’s daughter, Mpho, said the 83-year old Nobel Peace Laureate, who was released from a Cape Town hospital on Friday after being admitted two weeks ago, would however continue receiving intravenous treatment for an unspecified inflammation.

Tutu also spend a number of days in hospital two months ago receiving treatment for a persistent infection, but was said to have been in good spirits throughout the various stints.
