Arsenal secure Paulista signing
Arsenal has completed the signing of Villarreal defender, Gabriel Paulista, on a long term deal for approximately £15 million (R262-million), the club announced on Wednesday.
"It's another dream in my career that has come true," Paulista told the club’s website.
"I have only just arrived but I am already feeling really good here in London. I'm at a top club so that gives me more strength to be able to work and carry on, to be able to conquer much more in my career. It's a huge club, even more so than I expected. I am very happy with everything – with all the people I have been dealing with since I arrived,” he added.
The 24-year-old may be making his debut for Arsenal when they face Aston Villa for their English Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
As part of the deal, Gunners forward, Joel Campbell, will be joining Villarrreal on loan for the rest of the season.
