Arsenal will improve - Szczesny

Arsenal goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, has said that his team will improve when they return to the Barclays Premier League from the international break, after a poor start to the season which saw them only winning two out of their seven matches thus far.

The Gunners suffered their first loss of the season over the weekend, going down 2-0 to log leaders Chelsea. They are currently down in eighth position with 10 points, while The Blues lead with 19.

"Chelsea defended very well and took their chances, so fair play to them. It was a more positive game for us then the 6-0 defeat at this ground in March,” Szczesny said.

The Polish national, who is now entering his fourth year at The Emirates, said that despite his sides loss, he remains confident that they will find the spark in the upcoming matches.

"We have had a tough run so far.

"But I would like to think that our start has been solid. [It is] not as good as we expected from ourselves.” He said.

Arsenal will next play Hull City on home ground when Premier League action resumes on the 18th of October.
