Audi winds down A4 production with limited run models


With its replacement set be introduced early next year, Audi has introduced a series of limited edition (1 400 units) A4 models known as the Sport Edition Plus.

Based on the 1.8 TFSI SE and 2.0 TDI 130 kW SE, the Sport Edition Plus mainly includes a number of exterior and interior tweaks with motive power up front remaining unchanged.

Added spec amounts to restyled front and rear bumpers, 19-inch alloy wheels with S-line suspension, blacked out grille, mirrors and window surrounds, integrated boot spoiler, three-spoke S-line multi-function steering wheel as well as front and rear parking sensors.

Available with either a six-speed manual or Multitronic CVT in front-wheel drive only, the 1.8T FSI produces 125 kW and 320 N.m of torque, while the 2.0 TDI churns out 130 kW and 380 N.m of torque. Combined fuel consumption is rated at 5.7 and 5.8 L/100 km for the petrol with the diesel coming in at 4.6 and 4.8 L/100 km respectively.

A five year / 100 000 km Audi Freeway warranty is standard on all models.
