Bafana drops in latest FIFA rankings

Bafana Bafana has dropped one place in the FIFA rankings and has been rated as the 12th best side in Africa and 52nd in the world.

Bafana coach, Shakes Mashaba, was hoping that his team would move up into the top 50 in the world, before the New Year. However, today’s FIFA rankings report will be the last for 2014.

Zambia have been seen as the biggest movers in the latest rankings after they climbed 16 places to sit in the 46th position globally, and have been rated 10th in Africa.

Bafana will be facing Zambia in an international friendly match at the Orlando Stadium on the 4th of January.

There have been no changes in the Top 10 world rankings, with Germany still occupying the number one spot.
