Bulls flyhalf joins EP Kings

BY NATALI IVERSON - NOVEMBER 17, 2014

Vodacom Blue Bulls flyhalf, Tony Jantjies, has officially joined the Eastern Province Kings, ahead of the 2015 rugby season.

“We are extremely excited to have signed Tony, whose family hails from the Graaff-Reinet area, falling in line with our goal to bring talented players from this region back to the Eastern Cape,” said EP Rugby president, Cheeky Watson.

Watson added that Jantjies would be a great addition to the Kings team when he joins them in January to begin training.

Kings head coach, Carlos Spencer, has said that Jantjies has great skill, which will be valuable to his team in the next season.

“He is a young, exciting player, able to take the ball to the line and is great on both attack and defence,” he said.

“He has a lot of physicality and comes from a similar mould as his brother Elton, so I’m really looking forward to working with him,” Spencer said.
