Bulls injury woes

BY NATALI IVERSON - MARCH 3, 2015

Vodacom Blue Bulls loose forward, Arno Botha, has been recovering well from his pectoral muscle tear and will be returning to training next week.

However, flyhalf Jacques-Louis Potgieter, will be side-lined for another week, after picking up a hamstring injury against the Cell C Sharks last weekend.

According to Bulls team doctor, Org Strauss, Botha will be back on the field on Monday, and Potgieter will be assessed on the same day.

No serious injuries were picked up during last week’s Super Rugby match, but Francois Hougaard, Deon Stegmann and Pieter Labuschagne all had small niggles and will only train on Tuesday to avoid any further damage.

The Bulls will be facing the Toyota Free State Cheetahs for the fourth Super Rugby match at the Free State Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Bulls current injury list:

Flip van der Merwe (pectoral, April), William Small-Smith (foot, two months), Pierre Schoeman (ACL knee, July), Bandise Maku (pectoral, August), Werner Kruger (ankle, 10 weeks), Carlo Engelbrecht (ankle, 10 weeks) and Burger Odendaal (knee, three weeks)
