Butterworth police appeal for public help in identifying stabbing victim

Butterworth police are looking for the relatives of a man who was stabbed to death on Saturday, at about 23:25 between two taverns at Zithulele Township, Butterworth.

The deceased was wearing a grey track top, blue jeans trouser and a pair of navy sandals. He is dark in complexion.

Police were informed by the community members that there was man who was lying dead along the street. No one knew the victim and community members who were at the scene did not see who stabbed him.

The SAPS appeal to any family whose relative has not come home and who was wearing the attire mentioned above to approach the Butterworth Police Station to identify the deceased or phone Butterworth Police at 047 401 1100.   

A murder case has been registered and is being investigated.
