Celebrate World Space Exploration Day

JULY 20, 2016

World Space Exploration Day was invented by J. David Baxter on the 20th of July 1969, which is the day that American astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrinthe became the first humans to walk on the moon.

This day was mainly created to celebrate this incredible achievement, but apart from celebrating, today hopes to motivate and encourage future generations to reach new goals within space exploration, in the future.

If you want to celebrate World Space Exploration Day today, you can grab your friends and family and take a nature hike to enjoy the exploration side, or even get the family outside on some blankets and do some stargazing.
