Cheetahs sign Sharks flyhalf, Fred Zeilinga

New Toyota Free State Cheetahs coach, Franco Smith, made his first signing as coach, after her lured Cell C Sharks flyhalf, Fred Zeilinga, to the team.

According to Netwerk24, Zeilinga will officially be joining the Cheetahs ahead of this year's Currie Cup, he will also be available in Super Rugby next year.

Naka Drotske will be leaving his coaching position next week, and Smith will officially be taking over the position.

With Joe Pietersen and Francois Brummer out of the Cheetahs for the Currie Cup season, Zeilinga will be welcomed with open arms amongst his new teammates and Cheetahs fans.

Pietersen is said to be moving over to the Sharks and Brummer will be playing for the GWK Griquas during the Currie Cup, with Zeilinga being the favourite to wear the No 10 jersey for the season.
