Cheetahs suffer several injury woes

The Toyota Free State Cheetahs have lost flank, Heinrich Brussow, due to a broken arm he sustained in their 18-17 loss against the Queensland Reds in Bloemfontein this past weekend.

Brussow was taken off the field in the 14th minute with Cheetahs coach, Naka Drotske, confirming the injury afterwards.

The severity of his injury will be known on Monday, but it is expected that Brussow will be out for the rest of the competition.

Fullback, Coenie van Wyk, also suffered a ankle injury, and will likely be on the side-lines for up to six weeks. Furthermore, Coenie Oosthuizen injured his knee just before half time.

The Cheetahs will next be travelling to Johannesburg to take on the Emirates Golden Lions at the Emirates Airlines Park on Saturday.
