Chiefs hoping to keep their form

BY NATALI IVERSON - APRIL 8, 2015

The Kaizer Chiefs are looking to keep their form when they take on AmaZulu at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Thursday, in hopes of grabbing the Absa Premiership Soccer League (PSL) title.

Chiefs returned to their winning ways, when they defeated Moroka Swallows 3-0 last month.

“I am confident that if we can maintain our form, we will turn it into valuable points in the league,” Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter said on the Chiefs official website.

Despite the bad news of Morgan Gould’s serious Achilles injury, which will keep him on the side-lines for the rest of the season, Baxter announced that midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala and defender, Tsepo Masilela will both be returning to the team for Thursday’s match.

The Amakhosi are currently sitting on top of the PSL log, with 54 points, and have been unbeaten at home this season, with eight wins and four draws from just 12 matches.

They will be facing the University of Pretoria (away), Polokwane City (home) and Mamelodi Sundowns (away) in their next league matches.
