Chippa United denies rumours of Sali moving to Ajax Cape Town

Rumours have been doing rounds in the media, claiming that Buyani Sali, the central midfielder of Chippa United will be moving to Ajax Cape Town and will not be part of the team in the next ABSA PSL season.

On Tuesday, Chippa United boss, Siviwe Mpangeni, denied the allegations, and said that Sali will remain in the team.

“Sali is loyal to the team and he has a three year contract with this team, so he is not going anywhere anytime soon,” said Mpangeni.

Sali, who scored a goal on Saturday against Kaizer Chiefs, has been on the spotlight for the team this season. And has lead the Eastern Cape side with their 13th win this season.

The team made a great impression at their last match with Kaizer Chiefs, finishing good this year in qualifying for the MTN 8 Cup after being in the sixth place on the log with 45 points. The Chilli Boys handed Kaizer Chiefs a 2-0 defeat on Saturday at the FNB Stadium.
