Chippa United have parted ways with defender Pentjie Zulu, after having contracted the player on a three-and-a-half year deal in February this year.

Zulu was signed from PSL Champions Bidvest Wits in the beginning of the year, where he outed for their Diski Challenge side before joining the Eastern Cape outfit.

Just five months into his contract and Zulu has been shown the way, who, according to him, was approached by Chippa United CEO, Peter Koutroulis, where the confirmation was made.

"I'm just waiting for my clearance, which they have promised to send soon. I don't feel great but it's their decision. As for me, I can't do anything about it," Zulu told KickOff.

The 27-year-old’s short stint at the Chilli Boys was somewhat hindered by disciplinary issues, followed by an injury sustained just 10 minutes into the clash against the Orlando Pirates.

As a result, he missed the rest of the games of the ABSA Premiership, and after being deemed to contribute little to the club, has now been let go. Zulu hopes to find another club soon, but is adamant that it must be a PSL side.

“What I can say is that I'm now a free agent, but if I get a team it must be a PSL team," he concluded.
