Cocktails, sun and sea: Enjoy a perfect summer day with Gio Caffé!
One thing that I loved as a child was a visit to Shark Rock Pier, on the Port Elizabeth beachfront, where we would enjoy the summer sun, swim in the sea and then of course go and get an ice-cream from The Red Windmill. That was and still is my perfect summer day!
Now known as Gio Caffé, they continue to be the best place to enjoy a hot sunny day in Port Elizabeth, as they still offer 15 different flavours of ice-cream, with your choice of cup, cone or sugar cone, and so much more.
Gio is a stylish and fun restaurant, with beautiful and elegant décor, offering both inside and outside seating and of course an incredible vibe.
With the Shark Rock Pier just a stone’s throw away, they are the ideal place to stop off and grab a bite to eat after a fun day on the beach, and because they cater for the entire family, everyone will be left smiling.
Gio Caffé is open from 7:30am until late every day of the year, serving some lovely breakfasts, light lunches as well as dinner.
From ribs and T-bone steaks, to large burgers and a variety of seafood and chicken dishes, you will be spoiled for choice! Their portion sizes are also generous, and the prices very reasonable.
I hear they will soon be serving 12 different cocktails from their new cocktail machine. Summer evenings with a light breeze, stunning ocean views, a delectable meal and a cocktail in hand? Wonderful!
Cocktails are not the only beverages they will be serving from their bar, as they have an assortment of wine, beer, draughts beers and ciders for you to choose from.
Apart from their amazing food, ice-creams, view and vibe, Gio has fantastic service. Their staff always invites you inside with a big smile, making one feel right at home.
Looking for a fun place to host a year-end party? Well, Gio Caffé can also cater for parties and functions, either inside the actual restaurant or in their undercover area outside.
Visit Gio Caffé for an amazing meal, an awesome beachy vibe or the best milkshake in town. Call them on 041 583 1676 to make a booking.
