Complete home networking with mobile broadband – the Huawei AF23 Wi-Fi/LAN adaptor from DCC

Setting up a home network has never been easier thanks to the new Huawei AF23 Wi-Fi/LAN adaptor from distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC).

Simply plug a compatible Huawei USB modem with 3G or Long-Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity into the docking station and share your mobile broadband connection via Local Area Network (LAN) or Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). The included RJ45 port can also be used to create an Ethernet Wide Area Network (WAN), and this powerful router delivers speeds of up to 300 Megabits per second (Mbit/s) over Wi-Fi.

“High speed Internet has become a must-have for any connected home, and the Huawei AF32 is the ultimate tool for enabling this with ease. It supports 4th generation LTE mobile broadband for the fastest possible connection speeds, and is backward compatible to 3G for use in areas without LTE coverage.

It allows users to easily create LAN, WLAN and WAN environments to connect and share with multiple different devices throughout the home, and features Wi-Fi 2 x 2 – two antennas - for improved wireless coverage,” says Fayaaz Seedat, Huawei Consumer Product Specialist at DCC.

This multi-function device is able to perform as a Wi-Fi router, repeater, access point and wireless client, and can be used to enable up to 31 devices to share a single mobile broadband connection. Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), a built-in firewall, Denial of Service (DoS) attack prevention and a host of other features ensure the best possible security.

“The Huawei AF23 is the ideal solution for the connected home, with all of the features, functionality and ease of use required to create a high-speed, shared wireless network as well as wired connectivity via Ethernet for devices such as a media centre,” Seedat concludes.

The Huawei AF23 Wi-Fi/LAN Adaptor is available immediately from resellers and leading retailers.
