Council to Meet on November 13

NOVEMBER 5, 2014

The Nelson Mandela Bay Council will meet on November 13, according to a communication from the office of Speaker Maria Hermans.

This is one day after the scheduled launch of the Eastern Cape “Back to Basics” campaign for local government in King Williams Town.

Mayor Ben Fihla has yet to report to council on the national launch of the campaign on September 18 but has stated that he will do so.

A slew of committee meetings, including Human Settlements and Budget and Treasury have also had to be rescheduled after being postponed.

The November 13 council meeting is likely to be the second last of the year with the final one on December 4 in terms of the schedule of meetings, after which it will go into recess until January 12.

There are also no committee meetings scheduled for that period. - MetroMinutes.
