Cradock man in court for murder just after New Year's Day

A 29 year-old Cradock man is expected to appear again in the town's court on Monday for a formal bail application following his arrest by local police for murder a day after New Year 2016.

According to Eastern Cape police, on Saturday, at about 22:45, the suspect and the deceased, 25 year-old Sibohle Notshulwana, were involved in an argument in Bantom street, Michausdal, Cradock.

During the scuffle, the suspect allegedly stabbed Notshulwana in the neck with a knife. Notshulwana died on the scene.

The suspect was arrested and made a brief court appearance on Monday when he was remanded in custody.
