Damaging winds, some flooding, snow and heavy rains expected on Monday

On Monday morning, the South African Weather Services warned of damaging winds, some flooding, snow and heavy rains in parts of the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape.

Damaging NE'ly winds of 65km/h are expected offshore east of Port Elizabeth and onshore east of Port Alfred, the weather office said.

Heavy rains, leading to flash flooding, are expected in places along the Wild Coast and in the eastern interior of the Eastern Cape while more heavy rains are expected in places over the eastern parts of EC spreading to the South Coast. 

Meanwhile, disruptive snowfalls are expected over the north eastern high ground while more snowfalls are expected on the western mountain peaks on Monday.
