De Jager out for two months
Toyota Free State Cheetahs lock, Lood de Jager, will be out of the game for up to eight weeks after injuring his elbow during their first Super Rugby match against the Cell C Sharks on Saturday.
De Jager was forced off the field halfway through the match and has undergone scans since. His injury however will see the return of Sevens starRyno Benjamin, Japanese based flanker, Heinrich Brussow and Johan Sadie for the next match against the Vodacom Blue Bulls this coming weekend.
Cheetahs coach, Naka Drotske, has said that he is very happy with how his teamed played against the Sharks.
“I’m extremely satisfied especially with our maul and our defence, our tactical kicking was also good. What we will have to look at, however, is our discipline. We were on attack four or five times during the game where we conceded a penalty through something stupid. We will need to rectify this.”
