Decomposed body found in Bethelsdorp after man finds dog eating human hand

Port Elizabeth are appealing for the public's assistance after a badly decomposed body of an unknown woman was discovered in dense bushes near Damaskus farm in Booysens Park, Bethelsdorp, in the city's Northern Areas, on Monday, at about 11:00am.

According to police information, the owner of a dog found his hound feeding on the remains of  a human hand.

"The owner summoned police and the rest of the torso was  found," said Colonel Priscilla Naidu.

"The identity of the woman is unknown. She  was clad in black jeans.

"Anyone who can assist police in identifying the woman, locating her next of kin or may suspect of any person that may have been missing is asked to contact D/W/O Wynand Hills at SAPS Bethelsdorp on 082 442 1633."
