DEDEAT approves Theescombe development

NOVEMBER 28, 2014

The Eastern Cape Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT) has issued environmental authorisation for a pro-posed residential development in Theescombe.

The site of the development is near the suburbs of Mount Pleasant and Providentia to the north, Pari Park to the east, and Lovemore Park to the south and West, with access being provided by the extension of Merle, Brahms and Chopin roads as well as Michelangelo Avenue

The environmental authorisation shows that the proposal involves the provision of 125 Residential 1 erven and one Residential 2 erf to accommodate 45 units.

The environmental authorisation states that no top structures will be constructed for the Residential 1 erven that will be sold to private buyers once serviced, while the Residential 2 erf will be sold in its entirety to a developer. - metrominutes
