Deputy Minister of Police expected in Mthatha

As part of lead-up programs to the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children, The Deputy Minister of Police, Makhotso Maggie Sotyu, will engage on a community outreach program at Thusong Centre, Viedesville, Bityi near Mthatha on 18 November.

"During the community outreach program, a mobile police station will be handed over to the community of Bityi. The primary aim of the project is to make our police stations more accessible and user-friendly to the communities we serve," Eastern Cape police said.

"The handing over of the mobile police station emphasizes the SAPS Back to Basics policing approach and reaffirms the SAPS commitment to serve the communities with dedication, commitment and excellence."
