Eastern Cape company robbed of goods worth R100 000

A distribution company in the Eastern Cape was reportedly robbed of goods to the value of nearly R100 000.

A group of about 10 robbers held up staff at the company on Tuesday.

The armed suspects fled the scene with plasma TV’s, tyres, beauty products and medical supplies.

“After they loaded their trucks, they fled in the vehicles they came in,” police spokesperson Sandra Janse van Rensburg said.

No arrests have been made.

Police are investigating the matter.
