Eastern Cape's best cops recognised at Tracker SA Awards

The Eastern Cape Tracker SA Awards were hosted at the East London Golf Course on Friday.

The best Station/Unit award went to Port Elizabeth K9 Unit. Lieutenant Colonel Marais received the award on behalf of the Unit.

Constable Blundin from the PE Flying Squad was awarded the best individual award.

Captain Benuko was awarded with the Tracker Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is presented to an individual who has made a valuable contribution to the fight against vehicle crime in South Africa by the recovery of stolen or hijacked vehicles in the Eastern Cape utilising the Tracker Connect Technology.

Captain Benuko won the Provincial Tracker Awards seven times and National Tracker Award once.

In 2010, he represented SAPS at the American International Association of Auto-theft Investigators.
