The event, will take place at Sandringham Sports ground in Queesnstown, under the theme: “An informed praying community is a better community” saving people’s lives.

“The event is intended to observe a prayer for road accidents, killing of law enforcement officers and to ask God’s intervention on all road accidents that are killing people in the district,” the Eastern Cape Department of Transport said in a statement.

Between 07:00-09:00am, there will be a road cleansing ceremony next to Ezibeleni Traffic Circle and Truck stop in town, with the main event starting at 10:00am.

The objectives of the event are to prevent and curb road accidents through God’s Devine intervention; to instil a road safety culture and to strengthen partnership between stakeholders in order to fight road accidents.
