EFF North West run from prison

BY CHARL BOSCH - JANUARY 27, 2015

North West Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) operations are reportedly being run from prison according to information released by The Citizen.

In an article, the paper states that it has obtained a letter, dated January 14th 2015, in which the party’s secretary general, Godrich Gardee, instructs EFF provincial leader Alfred Motsi to keep the position of chief whip vacant as it is currently being held by the party’s provincial secretary, Papiki Babuile, who is serving a 12 year sentence for the murder of a ANC regional secretary in November last year.

The article also claims that Babuile, who is reported to have close ties with EFF leader Julius Malema, has been receiving his monthly salary as part of the provincial legislature whilst being locked-up.

No comment on the allegations has yet been made by the party.
