EP Kings make five changes for Sharks Currie Cup clash

SEPTEMBER 14, 2016

Eastern Province Kings Head Coach, Barend Pieterse, has made five changes to the match-23 that lost 57-22 to the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein two weeks ago. The Kings had a bye last week.

The Kings face off against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday in their sixth match of this year’s Currie Cup campaign and they head into the game as certain underdogs, after being winless to this point.

Lungelo Gosa replaces Johann Tromp at fullback, while former Springbok and Sharks centre, Waylon Murray, moves into the midfield in place of JC Greyling.

Barend Portgieter starts at prop ahead of Vukile Sofisa, who moves to the bench. Kings stalwart, Martin Bezuidenhout, starts at hooker as Michael Willemse returns to Western Province after being on loan to EP.

On the blindside flank, Brandon Brown comes in and replaces Etienne Oosthuizen in the starting line-up.
