Excitement ahead of 2015 MTN8 final at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium

SEPTEMBER 18, 2015

All roads lead to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, were Kaizer Chiefs will take on Ajax Cape Town in the final of the 2015 MTN8. On Thursday, the Premier Soccer League confirmed that 50 000 tickets for the game had sold out.

The city of Port Elizabeth is expected to come to a standstill when soccer fans from across the country descend on the Bay for the match that kicks off at 15h00 on Saturday.

The PSL Chief Executive, Brand de Villiers, thanked the supporters who have purchased tickets to the game.

“Now that we are sold out, we invite millions across the country and the continent to follow all the action on television through our rights holder partners, SuperSport International and SABC.

We are hoping for a great final between the two clubs. We would like to thank our sponsors, MTN for their support during this tournament,” De Villiers said.

Kaizer Chiefs are the defending champions and favourites to win the title, which they won 12 months ago when they beat Orlando Pirates 1-0.

Orlando Pirates are the only team in the MTN8 era to have successfully defended the title and Chiefs will be desperate to match that record.
