Facelifted Toyota Corolla priced

Toyota South Africa has afforded its ever-popular Corolla a mid-life facelift with the biggest changes being a revised list of standard equipment.

While external changes is limited to the fitment of daytime running lights on all models, standard comfort features across the range now includes electric windows all around, follow-me-home lights, electric mirrors, Bluetooth, ambient lighting and a 60/40 rear split.

On individual model, the sports-oriented Sprinter receives a new boot-spoiler, anthracite finished alloy wheels, climate control and a revised Touch infotainment system incorporating a reverse camera, the latter now standard on all models bar the base Esteem.

Recently introduced on the refreshed Auris, the range topping Exclusive gains a 4.2-inch TFT display between the speedometer and tachometer as well as cruise control and keyless go, while a USB and Aux compatible sound system is standard on the Esteem.

Up front, the Corolla remains unchanged with power still being provided by a choice of three normally aspirated petrol engines, as well as a single turbodiesel offering spanning 11 models and five spec levels.

Transmission choices are also unchanged with all models being fitted as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, while a Multidrive S CVT can be have on the 1.6 and 1.8-litre offerings.

A three year / 100 000 km warranty and five year / 90 000 service plan is standard on all models.
