Fine weather conditions expected for weekend

OCTOBER 2, 2015

Should be safe to take the family to the beach this weekend as the adverse weather experienced in the province over the past two days has passed on.

The SA Weather office on Wednesday and Thursday issued warnings of heavy rains and flooding in the coastal parts of the province while the interior actually had warnings for veld fire conditions.

It however said that these conditions would start to clear from the west from Thursday afternoon adding that "fine conditions were expected over weekend".

On Thursday, the SA Weather Services also announced that good rains had fallen in the Baviaans where there are dams supplying the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro and surrounding municipalities with fresh water.

Joubertina  recorded 37mm on Wednesday, while Patensie recorded 56mm; Kareedouw 37mm and Kouga 31mm.
