Four Go George buses replaced

MAY 18, 2016

Four new GO GEORGE buses have arrived and will replace those torched during violent protest action in August last year.

“We are relieved to have these buses as they are needed for the roll-out of services in Phase 4. “said James Robb, GO GEORGE Manager.

The replacement cost of the four buses amounts to about R10 million. Nine months is the standard time it takes for the supplier to deliver any new orders for these customised buses.

Some final touches, such as  branding and informational decal stickers, are being applied locally before the four brand new buses can be introduced into the GO GEORGE bus fleet. No longer just an anonymous blue and green bus, this one has just received its fleet number and will from now on be called GO GEORGE 228.
