Get ready to SHINE!
With just under two weeks to go until “The Happiest 5K on the planet”, Port Elizabeth is getting ready for the biggest Color Run yet.
Kicking off the 2015 South African national series once again, the city can expect bigger, better, brighter and shinier than ever before. As the single largest 5km event series in the world, participation in The Color Run extends to over 200 cities around the world, and this year, for the first time in South Africa, expect to SHINE!
“We are very excited to have signed some big name sponsors for this year’s event,” says Trevor Latimer, national project manager for The Color Run South Africa. “This means we’re going to knock PE’s socks off, with in-route obstacles (which will be pure fun – no mud pools here), a ‘hug zone’, and for the first time in SA, we’re adding incredible glitter powder to the event.”
Glitter sachets will be available on race day, and participants can expect timed glitter and colour blasts in the festival zone. They will also be treated to world class pre- and post-race entertainment, including warm-up artists to build the hype before setting off in colourful waves of runners.
Additionally, in celebration of the first 2015 race in the local series, race organisers have announced best-ever ticket pricing, with ticket prices being slashed to only R150.00 – which buys Color Runners not only entrance to the event, but includes the full race pack (official Color Run T-shirt, headband, race number, temporary tattoos, and a powder sachet), as well as a R200.00 gift voucher from TakeALot.com and another R200.00 voucher from Superbalist (Ts&Cs apply).
Register a corporate team of 5 or more runners by dropping a line to [email protected] . Each corporate team gets a unique item of apparel to set it apart from the rest.
Tickets are available from Computicket and all Shoprite/Checkers stores – direct links and more information is available on The Color Run website (http://thecolorrun.co.za) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/TheColorRunSouthAfrica).
