Grahamstown police find dagga worth R12 000 in unclaimed bags

At approximately 06:00, on Saturday morning, members of the Grahamstown Highway Patrol were on the N2 Highway conducting a vehicle check point when they stopped and searched a long distance bus that was travelling from Durban to Cape Town.

"They found two large bags packed with dagga among ladies and children's clothes," Eastern Cape police said.

"They were not able to establish ownership of the bag.

"A total of 12 kilograms of dagga was seized with an estimated street value of approximately R12 000."
