Heat warning issued for Eastern Cape

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for very hot conditions across large parts of the Eastern Cape on Friday.

Temperatures exceeding 30 degrees are forecasted form as far as Jansenville and Graaff-Reinet to Maclear and Matatiele, while high levels of discomfort are expected over the Makana, Ndlambe, Lukanji, Amahlathi, Mnquma and Nyandeni Local Municipalities as well as the Buffalo City Metro.

Conditions favourable for the developing for veld fires are likely to occur in the Graaff-Reinet, Cradock, Tarakstad Jamestown and Macler areas.
