Jayde Panayiotou's Murder Dominates Social Media Conversations Again (see what was said)

MAY 1, 2015

The murder of Port Elizabeth teacher, Jayde Panayiotou, on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning again dominated the conversations on social media following speculations that the other suspect arrested by police was her husband, Christopher.

The news comes when the memory of Shrien Dewani and Oscar Pistorius cases are still fresh on South African minds, prompting others to already call for a stiffer sentence if Jadye was indeed murdered by her husband.

Others however, said that the case has taken an interesting twist and they will be watching for reactions from "white racists" who expected that it will again be "black savages"  behind the murder.

Panayiotou, who was a teacher at Riebeek College Girl’s High School, was abducted outside of her home inKabega Park, last week Tuesday.

Her body was found the next day in an isolated area near the KwaNobuhle Township in Uitenhage, with autopsy reports confirming that she had been shot dead.
