JUNE 23, 2015

Midfielder, JP du Plessis, who previously played for the Melbourne Rebels as well as the DHL Western Province Stormers, has chosen to represent the Eastern Province Kings in this year’s Currie Cup season.

Du Plessis played for French rugby union, Montpellier between 2013 and 2014 and then joined the Toyota Free State Cheetahs last year.

The 24-year-old was meant to be playing for the ORC Griquas for this year's Currie Cup qualifying match; however, he has decided to move to the EP Kings instead.

The Kings will be facing the Emirates Golden Lions for their first Currie Cup match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on the 8th of August.
