Justice Dept hosts consultation on draft plan to combat intolerances

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development will on Tuesday host a provincial consultation on the draft National Action Plan to Combat Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerances (NAP) in the Eastern Cape at the East London International Convention Centre in East London.

"The purpose of the NAP is to provide South Africa with a comprehensive policy framework to address Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance at both a private and public level," the Department said.

"The Eastern Cape Provincial Consultation forms part of various engagements on the draft NAP that the Department, together with various partners, is hosting countrywide.

"The consultation seeks to mobilise and call upon all who live in South Africa to constructively contribute towards the finalisation of the NAP."
