Kermit Erasmus might have a chance in Bafana Bafana
Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba said on Tuesday that Kermit Erasmus has found his goal scoring form too late to be called up for the Bafana team, for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) games against Sudan and Nigeria.
Erasmus showed his goal scoring talent after the Bafana Bafana national squad was chosen on the 22nd of August in Cape Town.
Mashaba has however said that if Erasmus continues to play this well there might be a possibility of him joining the team for the AFCON qualifiers.
“If he (Erasmus) continues the way he is playing now, he definitely stands a good chance of coming into the team,” said Mashaba.
“Like I indicated, all players that show commitment and passion in their play will get a chance and come here (to Bafana).”
In the last three matches played, Erasmus has scored four goals for the Orlando Pirates in the 2014 MTN8.
Bafana Bafana will be facing Sudan in Khartoum on the 5th of September (Friday) and will then face Nigeria at the Cape Town Stadium on the 10th of September for the 2015 AFCON qualifiers.
