King Williams Town police net four suspects with firearms and ammunition stolen from farm

King Williams Town Detectives, together with the local K9 Unit, worked around the clock in tracking the suspects that were involved in housebreaking and theft that occurred at a farm in Kubusiedrift last month, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.

"As a result, police arrested four suspects at Mgwali Location outside Stutterheim on Wednesday and recovered three firearms (one shotgun and two hunting rifles) and 102 rounds of ammunition, three cameras, and three cellphones," described police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.

"The King Williams Town Cluster Commander Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga commended all members who were involved in the operation and thanked the community for sharing valuable information that led to the arrest and recovery.

"He also encouraged the community members to keep on reporting the criminals and/or criminal activities to the police on Crime Stop 08600 10111, Crime Line 32211 or the nearest police station."
