King Williams Cluster commander, Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga, has awarded the K9 Unit members with certificates of commendation after they arrested nine suspects at Dimbaza in March 2017.

"The members acted quickly and managed to arrest nine suspects and recovered four firearms, 38 rounds of ammunition, 17 cellphones, laptop and an undisclosed amount of cash," Eastern Cape police said.

"The suspects were charged for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and possession of suspected stolen property.

"Again in March 2017, these members arrested suspects for possession of dagga to the street value R136 800 at Mlungisi Location, in Stutterheim."

Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga commended these members for a job well done and encouraged them to ensure that South African citizens are safe and secured.
