KwaNobuhle man busted with dagga worth over R7 000

A 33 year-old KwaNobuhle man is expected to appear before the KwaNobuhle Magistrate's Court on Wednesday after he was arrested on Tuesday morning by local police in possession of dagga at a house in Zuba Street, in the township.

According to Uitenhage police, officers received information about the house and obtained a search warrant.

“Members visited [the] house and confiscated dagga stashed in several compartments of the house in various forms such as 1kg of loose dagga in a box, 164 dagga zolls and 65 bompies of dagga,” said KwaNobuhle police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

The seized dagga is valued at over R7 000.

KwaNobuhle station commander, Colonel Zolani Xawuka, has praised the Crime Prevention Unit for the successful arrest.
