KwaNobuhle police investigating Sunday morning armed house robbery

Police in Uitenhage have launched investigations after three armed suspects forced their way into a home in Bhobhoyi Street, KwaNobhuhle, early on Sunday morning and made away with a television set, cell phones and clothing items after holding the homeowner at gunpoint.

After the suspects had fled, the homeowner managed to open a case at the KwaNobuhle police station. Police have since appealed to local residents, who might have knowledge of the suspects to come forward and assist in their investigation.

“Anyone with information is requested to contact the SAPS KwaNobuhle station or crime stop,” said Captain Gerda Swart.

In an unrelated incident, Uitenhage police are also investigating a case of concealment of birth after an anonymous phone call was received on Sunday morning, at about 11:00, alerting police to a dumped foetus.

“Members from Uitenhage police responded from a call and found a black bag containing a foetus in a dustbin in Caledon Street, Uitenhage,” described Captain Swart.

Anyone who might be able to assist with information regarding this matter can also contact SAPS Uitenhage on 041 9963 438 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
