Lady Frere police appeal for public's help in solving murder

Lady Frere SAPS is appealing to the public for assistance with information pertaining to a murder case in which a lifeless body of a 22-year-old woman was found half-buried near the river at Ngcuka location, Lady Frere at about 14:00 on Thursday 21 May.

It is believed that Ncebakazi Qaliwe left her home in the evening of Friday, 15 May to attend a church service at Old Location, Lady Frere.

Her family panicked when she failed to come back and reported her as missing. 

The police started searching for her and it was then that her half buried body with scratch marks on her face and upper body was found near the river.

A case of murder was opened. No arrests have been made yet.
