Limited edition Toyota Fortuner now available

Toyota has re-introduced the Epic designation for its top selling Fortuner SUV. Changes from the standard model are mostly subtle and includes smoked front and rear light clusters, chromed Epic branded nudge bar, dark grey 17-inch alloy wheels, a two-bar, chrome door handles, mirrors and foglight surrounds and on the inside, grey interior trim.

Mechanically, the Epic remains unchanged from the standard Fortuner and could either be have with Toyota’s popular 3.0 D4-D turbodiesel engine, making 120 kW and 343 N.m of torque, or 4.0 V6 petrol which produces 175 kW and 376 N.m. Transmission options for the diesel includes a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic, while the V6 will only be available with the latter albeit with five gears. No Epic model based on the entry level 2.5 D4-D will be offered.
