Man appears in court over mystery murder of East London mother of two

A 37-year-old man made a brief appearance in the Kenton on Sea Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on a charge of murdering a 33-year-old mother of two from East London. He was remanded in custody to the 16th of March for a bail application.

"The victim was severly assaulted.

"Detectives used their informer network and  since early this week  several witnesses have come forth."

This led to te arrest of the 37-year-old male.

"The victim has been identified as Nomfundo Patricia Bloom, aged 33, from East London," said Captain Govender.

"She has two young children.

"The motive for the killing is still being investigated."
